Virginie Doret has built her professional path around science, healthcare, and analytical work. Her academic background includes pre-med Biology and a Graduate Certificate in Insurance Medicine. She began her career in a laboratory setting before transitioning into work involving medical reports and insurance claims, giving her insight into healthcare from both clinical and financial perspectives.

Alongside her professional life, writing remained her lasting passion. As a high school student, she frequently visited the library and volunteered as a library assistant. Her teachers recognized her writing ability and encouraged her to pursue it, although she initially felt unprepared to take that step.

After twenty-five years of writing as a hobby, Doret completed Nose Drop, transforming a lifelong creative ambition into her debut book.
